We were sitting at the bar, drinking some martinis, when one of us said, "Hey, we throw cool parties all the time and have lots of fun doing it. ...
"But, how cool would it be to do PR and plan events for places -- and get paid to do it?"
The
guy next to us (some tipsy oil baron from Dallas -- who had obviously been eavesdropping
in on our entire conversation) leaned over and asked, "What are you girls, some kinda sophisticated power players or something?"
We looked at each other, wiggled our noses, batted our eyelashes, smiled, and said, "Yes. That's exactly what we are ... Power Players. Would you like to join our club?"
And then, we lived happily ever after.
